RIBA Chartered Practice

Services & Fees

We understand that not everyone requires the full architectural service, so we are happy to tailor our services and fees to individual projects; we offer concept development and ideas, planning applications, building control drawings, tender and construction drawings, specification writing as well as problem solving site visits.

We are also happy to advise on space planning, storage solutions, interior and furniture design, construction and project management issues.

The RIBA publishes a lot of useful guidance on working with an Architect. We work to the RIBA plan of work, and generally act as lead consultants from inception to completion.

As RIBA chartered architects we are obliged to maintain professional indemnity insurance for six years to cover all our advice (whether we are paid for this advice or not). We are also obliged to act according to the Architects Code of Conduct.

Fees & Estimates

We usually base our fees on a percentage of the build cost, however we are happy to work to capped hourly rates for sections of work or a resource based fee (please see Working with an Architect for your home published by the RIBA).

We endeavour to provide realistic estimates with regard to project costs and programme. We never provide over optimistic estimates to win work.
